Drill with small diameter drill bits. (Choose drill bits that's big enough for screwing the screw-based lamp holders.)
1. First, if the pegboard is large, you should cut the pegboard according to your desired dimensions. Plan out the placement of components on the board. The components include the knife switch, battery receptacle, and three lamp holders. If you want to avoid cutting the board for convenience, you can buy a pre-sized pegboard. Choose a pegboard that has a size of 12" by 12" to 16" by 16" inches (L x W). These sizes are sufficient to show kids the basics of how circuit boards work.
2. Space out the components. Be sure there is sufficient spacing between the components.
3. Drill holes on the pegboard for the screw-based lamp holders.
4. Screw the Knife switch, Battery receptacle, and the screw-based lamp holders.
5. Place the Screw-based bulbs on the lamp holders.
6. With the two lamp holders screwed into place, leave adequate space for the attachment of the wires.
7. Hard-wire the positive lead from the battery holder to the knife switch. Strip the end of the copper wires with the wire stripper, exposing the copper wire to make a wire loop.
8. Unscrew one of the screws on the knife switch. Wrap the wire loop that you made around the neck of that screw. Gradually tighten the screw using the screwdriver.
9. Loosen the screws holding the screw-based lamp holders in place. Strip the end of The negative lead wire, and make a wire loop. Attach the negative lead on the screw.
10. Tightly screw each of the components to the pegboard, making sure it doesn't wiggle.
11. Switch on the knife switch to light up your simple Circuit board.
